I love cheesecake. My very favorite is something called French Silk, with lines of chocolate running through it, though I'll never turn up my nose at a plain old-fashioned New York cheesecake.
I don't know if it was the best I ever had(Ohio has incredible bakeries), but I still remember having cheesecake, with strawberries and whipped cream, at Herrod's of London back in 1979.
Oh my god that French Silk cheesecake sounds amazing. I will have to google search this and see how to make one. If it's too hard then that'll be a no lol.
Do you have anything with yours? I like a little dollop of ice cream or even just plain out double cream with mine.
What a delicious post!!! If you haven't tried it already, I recommend the burnt Basque (also goes by the name of San Sebastian) cheesecake at some point. Hope you are doing well.
This article is delicious.
I very nearly put something flirtatious but then remembered that you’re MRS Miller. 😂😂😂
Lmao 🤣
Inventor of the reuben sandwich and cheesecake - this great man deserves his own museum!!
Hell Yes!!! Unfortunately It would be in New York!! Dare you brave that city to go and visit lol.
Not gonna do it! I will have to recall early childhood trips to Katz's Deli and Juniors! 🤤
mmmm. Strawberry cheesecake sounds good, as does chocolate cheesecake.
Do it. Treat yourself. You deserve it.
Life without cheesecake would be absurd.
Exactly!!
Thank you for this. I had no idea the dish was so old or that there had been so many variations before the familiar one came about.
I was very surprised too to be honest. The things you learn ey!!

Usually not. The cheesecake itself is enough, though I do like strawberries on NY cheesecake.
